As an active member of the ScratchEd community, I was interviewed by the Creative Computing team regarding how I created a culture of creativity in my classroom. This article recounts a Project-Based Learning unit which integrated Writers' Workshop historical fiction essays and transformed the works into Scratch video games.

NAIS Feature

The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) requests member schools to submit articles which highlight trends in education. This article featured the initiative at Pine Crest School to develop a K-12 computer science curriculum. As one of the Computer Science & Educational Technology Specialists responsible for designing and implementing the K-5 curriculum, my feedback on the initiative was showcased in the article.

On this episode, I join hosts, James Robinson & Carrie Ann Philbin, as well as Hello World Magazine columnist Catherine Elliot to answer the questions: 1. "How can we support all students in developing key digital skills?" 2. "What are the key digital skills that learners need to develop? 3. "Do they intuitively understand technology more given their increased exposure to it?"
